I awoke gently as the sun began to rise, the faint rustle of the breeze flowing through the canvas. Snuggled up by my side my dog stretches out and gives a sigh, the stove is still throwing off a warm glow from the night before. I take a deep breath of fresh air and look over the duvet and out across the fields. A feeling of calm waves over me and a smug smile appears on my face, today is going to be a good day!
A good wise friend of mine always says ‘There is nothing finer than a life more outdoors’. For me standing still in the morning air, taking in a deep breath in the beautiful places I find myself and watching the joy on my dog's faces as they skip across a field puts everything into perspective. Life is good!

Out door adventures are top of my list of things I need to keep me happy and healthy. I love nothing more than to go feral for a few days and live life outside. Last year I found the perfect place that filled my heart full of joy every single moment of my stay.

Thank you for reading the Jolly Journal - I really appreciate your interest and hope it's of value to you. I am dyslexic and for years this stopped me writing because of the fear of getting it wrong. Now I am embracing my fear so I appreciate your understanding if you see a mistake I have missed. Thank you! - Polly x
