The Jolly Allotment Book Club - February Recommendation.
February Book Club
Anyone who has heard me speak knows I am not a fan of diet books. Most are written to suit the author's dietary needs, and everyone's guts and bodies differ. But I love books that inspire us to think about how we eat and our relationship to food.
While cooking for retreats or public speaking, I am often asked if there is one book that helped me change my relationship with food when I was healing.
There is always the same answer, 'THE ART OF EATING WELL' by Melissa and Jasmine Hemsley.
Although this book is over 10 years old now, it is still so relevant today. It's not a diet book, but it will definitely ignite an emotional connection to your food and offer some incredible healthy eating advice. The philosophy still runs through many of my menus.
I can recommend all of Melissa's Hemsley's recent books as well, but this is the book that changed my life and, ultimately, is probably why I am still alive today.
It's the perfect book for any time of year.
Let me know in the comments what you think when you've read it.

Thank you for reading the Jolly Journal - I really appreciate your interest and hope it's of value to you. I am dyslexic andfor years this stopped me writing because of the fear and shame of getting it wrong. Now I am embracing my fear so I appreciate your understanding if you see a mistake I have missed. Thank you! - Polly x
