The Jolly Allotment Book Club - March Recommendation.
March Book Club
I welcomed the edibles team from RHA Wisley to the Jolly Allotment plot this weekend. Whilst we prepared the plot for planting. We exchanged knowledge and discussed some of the more unusual crops that are easy to grow in this country. The conversations were so exciting and nourishing. This morning, I was eager to carry on learning, so it was terrific to refer to this brilliant book written by the team. So of course I had to recommend it, as it's easy to follow and full of good advice.
If you want some inspiration on what to grow and how to grow all year round, this is a book full of knowledge easy to read and beautifully illustrated.
Let me know in the comments what you think when you've read it.
You can read more about our plot and the advice from Sheila Dass, who created the Edible Garden at RHS Wisley with her team and has moved to the National Trust to sprinkle her magic on more gardens. Here.
Thank you for reading the Jolly Journal - I appreciate your interest and hope it's of value to you. I am dyslexic, and for years, this stopped me writing because of the fear and shame of getting it wrong. I am embracing my fear, so I appreciate your understanding if you see a mistake I have missed. Thank you! - Polly x
