What is Regenerative Wellness?

Jolly Allotment Regenerative Wellness...

‘Regenerative’, comes from the word ‘regenerate’, which means to restore to a better state. Regenerating your body through better nourishment.

Gut Health, Food, Movement, Breath Work, Meditation, Self Understanding, Connection to Nature and Community .

Regenerative Wellness is not about creating a brand new you, it is about loving who you are and nurturing and loving your body. Its about reconnecting with your primal needs as a human and to community and nature with a view to restoring your emotional and physical health so you can feel whole and well and enough.

Regeneration of your wellbeing begins with your gut wall, I know what it feels like to have no gut wall, It is a very dark place to be. The gut is the great connector to all of our bodily functions from our emotions to our immune system. It is why we always begin with repair and nourishment of the gut wall to build a strong foundation within our incredible bodies. This restoration can all be done with the food we eat. It starts in the soil by creating nutritious land to grow nutritious food in.

This is the beauty of regenerative wellness just like regenerative agriculture it is a full circle of goodness for people and our planet.

Officially, ‘regenerative’ is a farming phrase, but in reality it is a mindset we can all take on board.

'This encompasses regenerating the soil, land and local wildlife. But, also regenerating your body through better nourishment and restoring local communities. Long before the dawn of the supermarket, meat was a sacred part of our diets. Friends, families and neighbours banded together to buy livestock from local farmers, divvying up the butchered parts into every imaginable cut, feeding a whole community for months. Our food is now little more than a bland commodity on a supermarket shelf. We end up putting more thought into choosing our builder or hairdresser than the person who grows our food.' - Alex Always Grazing continue reading here.

The Regenerative Movement

The Regenerative movement is the most important movement for the planet but also for us as a human race. Sustainable is no longer good enough we need to repair and regenerate the damage we have done to our land and ourselves. So here at Jolly Allotment we strive for this in all we do. We buy things that are well made and last, reuse and recycle and compost as much as we can. Aiming at zero waste is very difficult in the food and events industry it makes things more labour intensive and more expensive but we believe we are all worth the investment. So we only feed you with the best organic and regenerative produce and with the best of knowledge and goodness for wellness.

Thank you for reading the Jolly Journal - I really appreciate your interest and hope it's of value to you. I am dyslexic and for years this stopped me writing because of the fear of getting it wrong. Now I am embracing my fear so I appreciate your understanding if you see a mistake I have missed. Thank you! - Polly x
